C & L Custom Kitchens & Baths has been serving the Portland area since 1957. Over the years, we've built a solid reputation for creating custom cabinetry of uncompromising quality. Our workshop has been a neighborhood landmark since 1975. In fact, one of the first things new customers often tell us is "We've been driving by your shop for years."

The company is owned by Steve and Loren Lutz, who literally grew up in the shop. The boys purchased the company from their father in 2002, and the rest, as they say, is history. Al is the estimator and designer, and brother Steve is the master builder and installer. Both are supported by a friendly, dedicated staff who shares their dedication to creating only the finest custom cabinetry.

In an age of fast food restaurants, drive-thru banking and hurry up most everything else, we are grateful that there are still those who appreciate the time and effort that goes into creating a quality product.

At C & L Custom Kitchens & Baths, we cater to discriminating home owners and builders by using only the finest local materials. And we employ all of our tradespeople from right here in the Portland area. We believe that helps keep local dollars in our community, and helps build a stronger local economy.

We don't compete with the big box stores - we don't even try to. Because we are confident that once you compare our cabinets to the mass produced, cookie-cutter type products sold at the big chain stores, the more you will appreciate the quality and unique nature of our work.

Because of our longevity and solid reputation, we don't have to rely on expensive advertising (which the customer always ends up paying for). Instead, we trust the quality of our work and our many satisfied clients to do the talking for us.

Not only does this keep us humble, but it also allows us to keep our cabinetry fairly priced. Sure, it may be a little old fashioned, but it's a way of doing business that has worked for us for over 50 years.
